Funerals
It is perfectly human to be too stricken with grief to speak at a funeral or memorial service. Each death and every situation is unique and this may be the first time you are exposed to or expected to help others mourn. Humanist funeral and memorial services aim to highlight the life, accomplishments and personality of the deceased with compassion and without religion. We are trained to be your voice.
Since Humanist services are non-religious in nature, you are invited to highlight your person with a slideshow, music medley, table of memorable objects, certificates, framed photos or whatever you feel they would have wanted. The tone is set by you and your circumstance in any place you wish. I can provide songs, readings and a process so you can grieve your way.
1. To get started, please send a quick email via the form below to verify that your date is available.
2. Together we will set up an online or in person initial meeting to match my vibe with yours and plan the wedding ceremony of your dreams. I will ask a series of questions to get to know you and your desires for the day.
3. I will send a fun survey to have you and your wedding party share stories with me that will be worked into the ceremony. Along with this survey, I will send a variety of rituals and readings that you can choose from if you wish.
4. A 50% deposit is due at this point via e-transfer and the remainder is due 3 months in advance of the date of the ceremony.
5. You must obtain your license no more than 3 months in advance of the date of the ceremony, and bring it on the day of the ceremony (one of the legalities.)
Vows, whether selected from my collection or provided by the betrothed, must be sent to me two months in advance.
6. I will provide you with a copy of the ceremony one month in advance, providing one week to make
any edits or changes.
7. Finally, time to get you married!
Rates
Ceremony: $300 includes virtual meeting, writing and 30 minute ceremony.

Locations
The Process
1. Please contact me with as much notice as possible for a celebration of life or memorial service.
2. Please provide the date, time and details of location at this time to verify availability.
3. I provide a series of questions about the person, their life and stories you wish to be told.
4. I will provide a booklet of non-religious music and readings for you to choose from.
5. I will contact your designated speaker(s) to provide a cohesive, unique ceremony befitting the deceased.
6. Fees are due via e-transfer on the day of booking.
7. I will arrive 15 minutes in advance and provide a 15-30 minute ceremony.
8. Should you wish to have an internment ceremony at the graveside, this will be a separate
reading and a separate fee.
